Encompass are a London-based theatre and production company that makes bold and visually arresting new work. Through collaborative processes we explore the psychological and emotional, drawing from cinematic influences to tell stories through heightened reality and stunning minimalism. Our mission: to challenge, move and entertain.
Encompass is led by artistic director Jonathan Woodhouse and creative producer Liam Fleming, alongside producer Sofi Berenger and associate artistic director Rachael Owens. Formed with the aim to entertain and enrich people’s lives through our work, Encompass produced original works Stasis, This is Not a Christmas Play, Life in a Sketchbook, Who Is Moloch? and What It Feels Like which established the company as 'impressive' (The Stage), 'bold' (The Telegraph) and 'ones to watch' (Everything Theatre). Encompass are the creators of London's best reviewed new writing night Bare Essentials, an acclaimed series of events that stages new work from emerging and established theatremakers.
In addition Encompass have run a number of live events celebrating emerging and established creatives, ranging from live music and theatre to Q & As and web broadcasts. We have also led workshops and seminars as part of our commitment to educational outreach.
