Originally from Wokingham, Rachael studied at Royal Holloway University of London, where she gained a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Theatre Studies. She went on to work as a Production Executive for a digital media company for a year, before training in Musical Theatre at The Kent Stage Academy of Performing Arts, where she gained a double distinction Diploma. She now works as an actor, singer and performing arts teacher in London.
Rachael is a founding member of Encompass, having previously worked with many of the company's associates as a director and choreographer. Rachael was an associate director for hit surrealist drama What It Feels Like and co-directed Who Is Moloch? before becoming associate artistic director. She co-directed Life in a Sketchbook and has most recently directed various pieces for Bare Essentials. In 2014 she re-teamed with Encompass artistic director Jonathan Woodhouse to associate direct and co-produce their hit production This is Not a Christmas Play. Most recently she was the choreographer and associate producer of acclaimed Encompass production Stasis and performed in 'Ctrl, Alt, Delete' for Bare Essentials.
