EP-2017-logo2 IG_Glyph_Fill

Are you a writer with a play you want to see realised? Want to see it performed at London's best reviewed new writing night, now at the Arts Theatre West End? Then Encompass Productions want you! Submissions are open for BARE ESSENTIALS, acclaimed events created to showcase emerging and established theatrical talent. See your work staged by passionate professional theatremakers, all of whom have worked with Encompass who have been mounting theatre productions since 2010.

Collaborations with Bare Essentials playwrights have led to productions such as John Foster's 4 X Offie award-nominated Chummy and the critically acclaimed Life in a Sketchbook by Emma Minihan. Pieces have also been featured on Everything Theatre's Scripts Spotlight podcast series. Further collaborations also led to films produced by Asylum Giant and Tartan Viking Films. We're always on the lookout for new collaborators, and with our recent transfer to the Arts Theatre there's no better time to get involved – so why not submit today?

- Pieces can be of any genre: comedy, drama, monologues etc. but must take the form of a theatrical script with dialogue.

- IF SUBMITTING FOR CHRISTMAS 2017 EDITION: Plays must directly or indirectly be about the festive season(!)

- Submissions can be self-contained pieces OR extracts from longer work

- Pieces must be between 5 & 20 minutes long

- Keep things technically minimal. It's called Bare Essentials for a reason!
